Losing weight can be really tough… especially during the holidays! Due to an injury, sickness, and quite a bit of travel, I recently put on about 5 lbs of non-functional fat weight. I need to cut this weight quickly because I have some fitness and archery competitions that I am training for and I do not need to be carrying an extra 5 lbs during that time. I absolutely refuse, however, to try and lose weight in an unhealthy manner.
In order to lose the extra weight while still being focused on my health, I have put together my own weight loss combo from the Wilderness Athlete products I have grown to use and love. Here are the products that make up this combo:
Lean Life is not strictly a metabolism booster like some of the unsafe weight loss products on the market. Instead, Lean Life helps to suppress appetite while promoting a healthy metabolic rate. Taken in conjunction with the Meal Replacement formula, Lean Life can really help to make the most of the weight loss benefits provided through the Meal Replacement shakes.
Meal Replacement and Recovery
The Meal Replacement and Recovery formula is rich in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids while supplying a good combination of healthy fats, carbs, and protein. The 9 grams of fiber per serving help to stave off hunger while also promoting digestive health. Additionally, the added Glucosamine helps to improve joint health. This is a true meal replacement that is very healthy.
The phytonutrients in Green infusion will help promote healthy digestive function while also providing nutrients from fruits and vegetables that I would have a difficult time getting otherwise. Adding a scoop of Green Infusion to each Meal Replacement shake is a great way to round out the nutritious value of those shakes.
No weight loss plan is complete without a quality multi-vitamin. Multi-vitamins help to fill in the gaps in your nutrition, ensuring that you are getting everything you need to stay healthy.
I will take a serving of Lean Life before each meal. I will drink a Meal Replacement and Recovery shake with a scoop of Green Infusion for breakfast and lunch. I will also take a serving of multi-vitamins with each meal. Between meals, snacks are a crucial ingredient to maintaining positive weight loss. Snacks like nuts and Greek yogurt are great in between meals. Dinner will be a healthy, well-rounded meal consisting of lean meat and vegetables. These steps should ensure that I can drop those 5 lbs quickly and in a healthy way.
During the next month, my training regimen will consist of 6 days of training with one rest day each week. 3 days will be focused on resistance training and 3 days will be focused on cardio (running, tabata, etc.). Resistance and cardio days will alternate every other day. This will ensure a good balance between resistance training and cardio, both of which are crucial for effective weight loss.
If you are trying to drop a few pounds this winter, give this combo a try. It is sure to be a winner. Just make sure that you are also exercising regularly and restraining yourself from the temptation of too many holiday treats. Diet, exercise, and self-control will always result in weight loss and a healthier lifestyle.
