It is the most wonderful time of the year! No… Not holiday season. Hunting Season.

While most everyone else is thinking about buying gifts and making desserts, you are thinking about checking trail cams, getting into the woods for the whitetail rut, or training for your late season elk hunt. While there is nothing wrong with enjoying the holiday season, one way that most people “enjoy” the holidays is by eating copious amounts of dessert and treats over the course of two months. I once gained almost 20 lbs in one holiday season… It took me 9 months to lose it. Not exactly a good cost-benefit ratio if you ask me. If you aren’t careful, you could make things harder on yourself by gaining useless weight before your next hunt.
