Shawn Stafford (Owner of Hunting Fit) Shawn has been hunting for nearly 30 years all across the United States.  He has hunted whitetails from the South Texas Brush Country all the way up to Lake Superior in Northern Wisconsin.  He has also chased elk in the Rockies and bear in the Appalachians.  In order to improve his odds in these endeavors Shawn realized that being physically fit was paramount.  With his hunting experience paired with his background in competitive sports, he combined his love for hunting and fitness to bring you HuntingFit.com.Shawn currently resides in IL with his wonderful wife and three amazing children.  He has a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Manufacturing Management. As a free lance writer he has been published in The Journal of Texas Trophy Hunters, North American Whitetail, Bugle, and The Journal of Mountain Hunting.  He is also a member of the National Rifle Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Texas Trophy Hunters Association, an officer in his local conservation club (Eastern Illinois Sportsman's Club), and Lake Jasper Conservation Club.  He is also a certified hunters education instructor for the state of Illinois.
